 The Quebec City Summer Festival is one of Canada's biggest and most popular music festivals. It takes place during the second week of July and costs only 15 Canadian dollars. Once you pay the admission fee, you receive a button that gives you access to all the different musical performances that are happening throughout the city.
As there are hundreds of different performances to see on a vast array of stages, you can never run out of things to do. Though most of the musicians are Francophone artists, there are enough international acts to entertain those who don't understand French. Musicians from all over the world come to perform at this festival, and many different genres of music are played like folk, rock, and classical, just to name a few. Besides music there are also plays, circus performances, and magic shows to see. The Quebec City Summer Festival isn't just for adults. From making crafts, to games, and contests providing prizes for the lucky winners, this area is a great place for children to have just as good of a time at the festival as their parents. Being the oldest settled city in North America, Quebec City is a beautiful place to visit any time of the year. To visit during the music festival, however, makes a visit to this city more magical. There is hardly anything more idyllic than wandering down the Old City's cobblestone streets on a warm, summer evening listening to the sounds of various musical performances.
